Instrument introduction

HD 1000, introduced by XOS, is purposely-built for RoHS testing, quantification of hazardous substances in painted surfaces, and measurement of 8 toxic heavy metals. HD 1000 is equipped with the breakthrough Double Curved Crystal (DCC) optics for monochromatic excitation and focusing, dramatically eliminating the background influence and increasing the limit of detection. Plus, high resolution CCD camera is designed to observe and trace the measurement.

Double Curved Crystal Optics generates the monochromatic X-rays to excite the sample, eliminating the background interferences dramatically.
As X-ray focusing technology is used, the power of the X-ray tube is reduced by 80%, which significantly extends its service life.
The HD analyzer measures the lead concentration (and 9 other important toxic elements) in paint layers and in substrates separately – all in one measurement.
With a measurement area of 1mm, even the smallest features on the product can be confidently tested.
